Safari

The world’s fastest web browser comes an engine update. Improvements to the Nitro engine in Safari 5 means that the Web browsing experience more speed than before.

Powered Nitro JavaScript engine, Safari on Mac runs JavaScript up 5 to 30 percent faster than Safari 4, 3 percent faster than Chrome 5.0, and more than two times faster than Firefox 3.6.

Safari Reader removes annoying ads and other visual distractions of online articles. So you get the whole story and nothing but history. How it works: As you surf the web, Safari detects if you are on a web page with an article. Click on the icon in the Reader Smart Address Field, and the article appears instantly in a continuous disorder without sight. You can see every page of this article – if two or twenty. Onscreen controls allow you to email, print and zoom. Change text size and Safari will remember the next time you view an article in Safari Reader.

In Safari 5, HTML5 video can provide an even richer experience more accessible. Watch the video embedded with the HTML5 video tag in full screen. If a video includes captions, simply click on the button to view closed captions in controls.
