Few days after being spotted in Chrome’s new tab page, the official Google Theme Gallery is now open for business.

There are currently 29 different skins available.

As with other themed galleries, not all options are going to take the first prize beauty contest GUI. Some of them might make you do a spit take. But some can be an attractive option. At the very least, maybe this will help spell the end of annoying that involves skinning Chrome backup and restore after default.dll Chrome crashes due to an incompatible skin.

Some issues – such as Dots, also pictured after the break – even bleed over the bar bookmarks in new tab page. The download page of history, however, are kept clean in the gap.

It should be remembered that you will need 3 Chrome beta or developer channel or recent builds of Chromium for change themes and entertainment. Just try it all, until they are impressed with the selection.
